Paul Carpenter Associates were pleased to work collaboratively with PDM Design on this exciting and distinctive residential new build project. The structural strategy adopted worked well with the external insulation and render system and aesthetics of this contemporary dwelling whilst minimising build costs.
Concerns at an early stage regarding possibly challenging ground conditions in the greensands, which are renowned for their potential instability, was mitigated by early site investigation and on site monitoring during construction.
Superstructure comprised loadbearing masonry as well as factory engineered floor and roof joists with significant eaves overhangs.
